StorageReviews.com.au was created after our founder, Elizabeth Wilson — a single mum who had separated from a domestic violence situation — says she was stopped from removing her belongings from a unit at Wilson Storage South Melbourne (sometimes listed as “Wilsons Storage”) while fees kept building.
She was trying to pay the account down, collect her goods, and stop the charges. Instead, she says, she felt trapped.
Her child's brand-new toys were inside. Her business stock was inside. Her life was inside.

The manager she dealt with locally seemed to understand, she says — he told her his hands were tied, that it wasn’t his decision. But she says she was never able to speak to whoever’s decision it was, and the process left her feeling powerless, threatened and ignored.
